Different legal contexts in New Zealand have specific rules for calculating working days:

Legislation Act 2019: Working day means a day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, or a day in the period from 25 December to 15 January
High Court Rules 2016: Working days exclude weekends, public holidays, and 25 Dec to 15 Jan
District Court Rules 2014: Similar to High Court Rules with exclusions from 25 Dec to 15 Jan
Family Court Rules 2002: Applies the Christmas vacation period (25 Dec to 15 Jan)
Employment Court: Specific exclusion period from 24 Dec to 15 Jan for employment proceedings
ADLS Property Law: Uses standard exclusion period (24 Dec to 5 Jan) for agreements for sale and purchase
